About This Event

Luke tells us many things in the book of Acts, but we will focus on three of them which seem especially appropriate for this age. First: The presence of Christ. Just where did Jesus go when Luke tells us He ascended? His answer may surprise you and it will surely comfort you. Second: Opposition and the Christian response. Luke presents a very sophisticated and nuanced picture of the opposition which the early church faced and how they responded to it. It may be increasingly helpful in the coming years. Third: Keeping a sense of humor. Luke’s audience was facing opposition and many questions, yet, he invites them to laugh. We too have reason to be merry and mirthful.
